RTFKT, the pioneering digital culture brand known for blending sneaker culture, gaming, and Web3 technology, has announced it will wind down operations by January 2025.

The news has left its loyal community stunned, as RTFKT has long been seen as an unstoppable force in digital creativity.

Founded in 2019 by Steven Vasilev, Chris Le, and Benoit Pagotto, RTFKT revolutionized the fusion of physical and digital worlds, pushing the boundaries of fashion, collectibles, and NFTs.

Through collaborations like Clone X with Takashi Murakami and the creation of the first-ever digital sneakers that could be turned into physical products, RTFKT quickly became a beacon for digital artists and creators. Their platform provided a space for groundbreaking work, enabling countless 3D artists and digital innovators to thrive.

In a statement shared on their social media, RTFKT reflected on its journey, acknowledging the pivotal role its community played in their success. Despite the announcement of their closure, RTFKT emphasized that their legacy would live on through the many creators and projects they inspired. They also announced plans to launch an updated website showcasing their most iconic work.

Before officially closing, RTFKT will release one final innovation: the MNLTH X featuring the BLADE DROP, a testament to their commitment to pushing creative boundaries until the end. While their Web3 services will come to a close in 2025, RTFKT promised that the spirit of innovation they fostered would endure through their community.

RTFKT isn’t just ending; it’s evolving into an "Artifact of cultural revolution," symbolizing the transformative impact they’ve had on digital creativity and culture.
